Order of the GrandFire

Chaundelabre – Main World Name

The main world in which the Wickerkin call their home. Chaundelabre is a celestial planet in space that has a planetary core reminiscent of a chandelier with the Flarisphere of elements at its center and 10 unique continents (lands) that populate it. This makes up the planet that the Wickerkin call their home.

Every land is a piece of the overall planet of Chaundelabre, each with their own Capital City and unique geography. The majority of the Wickerkin have a population presence on every land except for a few who are native to a particular place, hence their rarity.

Each land also has what is called a Hearth Hub, or center of activity for the land that functions like a Land Capital. Each Hearth Hub has a name unique to the land it’s on and contains a building where the ruler of the land guards the KindleFlare, which is an ancient artifact given to each land of the Chaundelabre by The Goddess of The GrandFire. The KindleFlare has a unique torch-like look that keeps the Wickerkin’s flames safe from harm and allows them to be connected to The Grand Flarisphere at the center of their planet. Each land’s crest takes inspiration from their KindleFlare and serves as a stamp of identification in travel and trade.

Order of the GrandFire

Species Feature | Canine Genus

Basic Summary
The Wickwulf is a canine type species closely related to the Wickling. They are not quite as mischevious as their feline counterparts and tend to protect their owners at a moments notice. They are loyal and quick to befriend so long as you have a stout heart and a strong will, Wickwulf's are there for you till the end.

Species Details
Gender: Agender when born but slowly evolve into a gender based on their personality. They often switch genders several times before settling on one and there are multiple cases of Wickwulf's making a habit of being genderfluid though not quite as often as their feline counterparts.

Personality: Wickwulf's tend to be excited easily and very energetic, though it varies from time to time, there are Wickwulf's whose temperment is very calm and soothing.

Physical Traits: Wickwulfs can come in all sorts of colors and patterns from their wax to their flame color. The flame never goes out even in the rain and will not burn anyone that the Wickwulf trusts. As Wickwulfs age, they go through what's known as "Metamorphase", which is a developmental stage triggered by an extreme emotion or personality shift.

Metamorphase: During the Wickwulf's Metamorphase development, they grow a secondary wick-like tail and sprout a fluffy like flame the same color as their cranial flame. They also have a hotter temperature so their flame color tends to become more vibrant or neon in color. If they are of the "shadow" variety, which is to say have a "grey" or "blackish" flame, the color deepens.

Dusklight Phase: The final stage of a Wickwulf's development is the Dusklight Phase, where the Wickwulf will grow two more heads, one on either side of the original. They also grow a third tail, whose flame becomes larger, brighter, and longer. Dusklight Phase Wickwulfs often form into an anthropomorphize werewolf-like version as well later on in life.

Mateship: Wickwulfs mate almost identical to Wicklings by fusing their tail-fires with each other, creating a small bit of wax from each parent which magically grows a wick "fertilized" by the flame from the two tails. This flame then grows into the center of the egg while the wax magically wraps around it forming a shell to protect the fire. This point in time is the only time that the fire is vulnerable to being extinguished and must be meticulously taken care of until it hatches into a Wickwulf.

Species Feature | Feline Genus

Basic Summary
The Wickling are mischievous little critters whose bodies are made of wax with a head made of fire. The body constantly looks like it's melting but never fully melts even if it gets left in the sun. The Wicklings will not burn anyone they trust and often like to rub against others for pettins.

Species Details
Gender: Agender when born but slowly evolve into a gender based on their personality. They often switch genders several times before settling on one and there are multiple cases of Wicklings making a habit of being genderfluid.

Personality: Wicklings are generally mild-tempered but have been compared to cats in the vast array of personalities they display.

Physical Traits: Wicklings can come in all sorts of colors and patterns from their wax to their flame color. The flame never goes out even in the rain and will not burn anyone that the Wickling trusts. As Wicklings age, they go through what's known as "Metamorphase", which is a developmental stage triggered by an extreme emotion or personality shift.

If they are of the "shadow" variety, which is to say have a "grey" or "blackish" flame, the color deepens.

Starlight Phase: The final stage of a Wickling's development is the Starlight Phase, where the Wickling will grow a firey main like a lion with multiple wicks growing out of the collar of their wax. The tail wick becomes larger, brighter, and longer. Starlight Phase Wicklings can form into an anthropomorphize version as well later on in life that vary greatly from their environment.

Mateship: Wicklings mate by fusing their tail-fires with each other, creating a small bit of wax from each parent which magically grows a wick "fertilized" by the flame from the two tails. Breeding and Mating

The Science of Breeding and Mateship

All Wickerkin mate by fusing their tail-fires with each other, creating a small bit of wax from each parent which magically grows a wick "fertilized" by the flame from the two tails.

This flame then grows into the center of the egg while the wax magically wraps around it forming a shell to protect the fire. This point in time is the only time that the fire is vulnerable to being extinguished and must be meticulously taken care of until it hatches into a Wickerkin.

Extreme Rare Flarisphere Family Coat types can only be obtained by mating a Flarisphere Family Coat Wickerkin with the Goddess of the Grand Fire (A.k.a. Momma Wickerkin).

NOTE

Wickerkin can only breed once per month and produce the highest denominator of evolution in the pair. For instance, if you mate two WickWulfs together, they will produce a WickWulf. If you mated a WickWulf and a WereWick together, they would produce a WereWick. Kindling Eggs can only be produced by making a Wickerkin with the Goddess of the GrandFire. The Goddess of the GrandFire has no monthly mating limit and no cooldown.

Kindling Eggs are only produced by mating a Wickerkin of any species and evolution with The Goddess of the GrandFire. The resulting Kindling Egg would be the counterpart's genus (i.e. if you mated a feline oriented Wickerkin with the Goddess, your Kindling Egg result would be feline). The only exception to this rule is if the NullNoise family is in play, then the resulting Kindling Egg can be chosen by the breeder due to its changeling nature

Family Types

All Wickerkin belong to one or more Family types. These Family types each make up a small part of the "Grand Fire" and each possess their own unique set of powers, affinities, and color spectrums. Wickerkin often breed together so it is more common to find Wickerkin that is more than one Family type than it is to find purebred Wickerkin.

The color spectrums refer to the wax or flame colors that are achievable through breeding those family types together. Many Wickerkin breeders will attempt to try selective breeding in order to obtain different rare coat types such as gradients, patterns, glitter overlays, and even additional appendages such as wings, horns, etc.

Uniquely, the NullNoise Family is the only family to which Wickerkin belong that can change their actual species type without the aid of an item.

Further Study reveals much more than just colors and powers could be related to family types and specific breeding traits.

Wickerkin Lore Basics

SPECIES
There are currently five known genus of Wickerkin: Feline, Canine, Aquatic, Avian, and Reptilian. While more Wickerkin are believed to exist, studies have not currently uncovered more information regarding other genus.
WICKERKIN FAMILY TYPES & FLARISPHERE

All Wickerkin are born into a family type that draws from areas of the Flarisphere. The Flarisphere is the life force “Grand Fire” that gives all Wickerkin their “spark” or life force.

The Flarisphere, shown below demonstrates the ten main family types and their common sub-types. Wickerkins can be one or multiple types at the same time due to breeding but Wickerkin who have traits from opposite hemispheres are the most rare and powerful.

Wickerkin Lore

This lore is considered the most up to date and canon to the Wickerkin species.

While not everything is filled out yet, I am trying to get at least a few things done each day so that the website will be up to date completely in a short amount of time.
